  Bridal Accessories

In addition to the wedding dress, there are certain elements of wedding wear that are essential to an Indian bride. These accessories include necklace, bracelets/bangles, rings, anklets, earrings, bindi/dots and hair ornaments. This type of extensive ornamentation is a traditional part of the wedding ensemble.  Additional accessories can include shoes, handbag and flower garlands to be placed around the neck.

New Trends in Indian Bridal Wear

Red continues to be a favorite for Indian wedding dresses as the colour is rich and sliming. Since this color has religious and cultural significance, this selection is likely to be trendy for the foreseeable future. However, softer shades of red are slowly making their way into the Indian bridal lexicon. The fusion of Western styles with traditional bridal themes are another interesting trend.  When deciding on their wedding garments, some brides are choosing to pair western details with the traditional elaborate style of previous generations

Glorious Bindhis

The Bindi (dot)  was originally worn as a tradition mark. It is applied to the forehead to symbolize marriage. Today it has considered a fashion accessory worn both by young and old. Bindis comes in a variety of shapes, colors and designs. Intricate designs include beadwork, handprints, studded stones, pearls and diamonds.

Apart from the usual traditional bindis which adorns the forehead, there are outstanding varieties of bhindis adorning dfferent parts of the bosy ranging from fancy bindis, designer bindis and bridal bindis. Designer bindis are a collection of several artistic body art bindis which  are crystal bindi, Belly Tattoo Bindi, Glitter tattoo bindi, Arm/Wrist Band bindi, Tikka bindi, Crystal Belly Bindi, pendent bindi, crystal finger bindi, hair bindi, chin bindi, crystal eyelash bindi and crystal nail bindi.

Today some of the trendy Bindis come in various shapes of stars, half moon, heart, tree and snakes in glittery, shiny and bright colors.
